 Job Description

The Business Development lead will prioritize and develop all new business pursuits for Elevation Ten Thousand. This growth lead is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and attaining all tracks of net new revenue increases.

Experience should include business development and financial management rigor; smart prospecting; honing a tailored marketing strategy; optimizing pitch approach; crafting clear narrative showcasing creative, data, and technology; possessing a win-or-learn mentality; accountable tracking of progress against plans and budgets; and creating a culture of aggressive growth within the agency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create a pursuit strategy that aligns with Elevation Ten Thousand business leadership’s strategies
  • Target Fortune 1000 and Inc 5000 companies as well as other noteworthy regional, national, and global brands who are looking to make an impact in the marketplace
  • Lead development of sales strategies for net-new pursuits
  • Responsible to close new business deals after initial discovery meetings with potential new clients
  • Ability to sell digitally native marketing strategies, data-driven marketing, social and growth marketing, creative design and production, and MarTech capabilities
  • Accountable for win/loss ratio and healthy business development financials
  • Nurture a relentless, collaborative, unbeatable business development approach
  • Scout out and develop proposals and responses for relevant RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs
  • Maintaining a culture of learning, honing, and optimizing in order to drive growth
  • Drive holistic marketing that raises the awareness of clients, key executives, work, capabilities, thought leadership, etc.
  • Build and maintain a library of selling assets and best practices
  • Ability to represent and sell in the full suite of Elevation Ten Thousand and other services that are offered across the company
  • Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events, and outbound marketing

Experience Guidelines and Qualifications

  • Successful track record (at least 3-to-5 years) of building business for a digital agency, marketing agency, marketing transformation, or digital business transformation consultancy
  • Strong knowledge of constructing customer journeys, performance marketing, data-driven optimization, MarTech platforms, digital marketing transformation, advertising channels, social media, etc.
  • Must have experience with regional, national, and global brands with complex marketing needs
  • Ability to speak to all levels of prospective clients: strategic and tactical decision-makers
  • Outstanding writing and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to engage with C-level digital marketing or marketing executives
  • Ability to understand macro business issues and articulate value-generating opportunities supported by Elevation Ten Thousand capabilities
  • Deep understanding of how a marketing agency operates

Elevation Ten Thousand is operating in a hybrid remote working environment and are open to the location of this hire, however, we anticipate the candidate to be located in Albany / New York / Boston area as the core team operates in the Albany area.
